We would like to introduce you the Cistercian Osek Monastery which is situated in Northern Bohemia (Czech Republic). We are a group of people who help the monastery, regarding the restoration of the buildings and gardens. This pages are thought to spread this idea throughout the world and, of course, to receive and gather support so that we can realize our plan.

At the moment, the monastery is in a rather devastated but not hopeless condition. One of our most important aim is to get you interested in these problems of the monastery so that your interest may turn into concrete support or help. Al lot is done, a lot is being done and a lot will hopefully happen - that‘s why we give you details of finished and planned projects.

Besides information of the history of the Cistercians and their monastery, you can get familiar with the architecture of the buildings and gardens.

We consider the monastery as a lively and important part of its surrounding and thus, we give you a glimpse in this region of Northern Bohemia. It comprises not only the problems and the natural conditions but also facts about the population as well as infrastructure.

Irrespective of the typical monastic work, many general cultural events are organized by the monastery and us. Hence, you will always find up to date information about new events.
